FAQ's

Does A Swimming Pool Add Value to My Home?

Yes, it does. Normally you will receive an estimated 75% of the value of the pool. Also, the more you decorate the backyard with landscaping, the more money you will get back on the pool.

How Long Does It Take To Build A Swimming Pool?

The time it takes to build a pool varies depending on many different factors (size of pool, pool features included, decking and size of deck etc.) From the day of excavation it should take a minimum of 54 calendar days, which is about 8 weeks. Remember though, from the day you sign the contract other things have to happen before the pool can be excavated, such as:

  • Financing (if applicable)
  • Home owners associations
  • Marking and finding utilities
  • Permits from your city or county

Why Do Many Pool Estimates Vary In Cost?

The price of a pool is determined by much more than just the size and shape of the pool. Many pool builders do not include some of the most important factors affecting cost in their proposals. Because there are so many factors that go into building a swimming pool, there are many ways to cut corners. Here are some of the ways pool builders may cut corners:

  • Craftsmanship
  • Quality of materials (smaller pumps, filter, etc.)
  • Design
  • Underground strength
  • Ease of maintenance
  • Warranties
  • Service

What if I Have A Small Backyard, Can I Still Build A Pool?

You will be surprised at how a small backyard can have the most innovative design. Good builders can design an enjoyable backyard no matter the size.

What Type of Water Features Would Work Best With My Design?

Don’t forget the water features!  Water features are a great way to customize your pool, just for you. Waterfalls, tanning ledges, deck jets and more can make your pool more functional and aesthetically pleasing.  Keep in mind, it is much easier to have water features added during the initial construction of a pool rather than having them added at a later time.

How Much Maintenance Will Be Involved With My New Pool?

Before you have your pool installed, find out what kind of upkeep will be required to make sure you’re prepared for pool ownership. If you are not prepared for the regular upkeep, then you’ll need to consider the regular cost of pool maintenance in your budget.

Do You Offer Financing?

We work with lending institutions that specialize in swimming pool financing to find the best option for you.

I'm Building a Home...Should I Wait Until After We Build to Put in a Pool?

Building your new pool or spa during the construction of your new home has many substantial benefits. The most important is cost savings. By adding your pool to your homes first mortgage, you will lower it’s financing costs.

In addition, you will also avoid the rare inconveniences that can be associated with the construction of a custom built pool. If you’re not yet living there full time, the normal construction traffic will be less noticeable and will seamlessly become part of your new home construction as a whole.

As a final point, you will be better able to incorporate the pool design and any other backyard amenities with your home design. One of our design consultants will be able to work with your home builder to ensure that your backyard oasis blends in harmoniously with your new dream home.
